Josh Pyke Announces Winner of 2017 Partnership

Josh Pyke has announced the winner for the 2017 JP Partnership…Angie McMahon!

Here’s a message from Josh:

I’m so proud to announce the winner of the JP Partnership for 2017, Angie McMahon! Now in it’s 4th year, the entries were of the highest standard ever, making it very difficult to judge.

Angie McMahon’s song Slow Mover was stuck in my head from the moment I heard it. Her business plan was realistic, achievable, and showed the sort of foresight, initiative and ambition that has helped the previous winners go on to great things.

A massive thanks as always to APRA AMCOS for making the grant such a significant resource for Angie and the previous winners.

Interestingly enough, this was the 3rd year in a row that a woman has taken out this grant, and the split of men and women in the top 10 scorers was 50/50. The calibre of entries was really encouraging for the state of Australian music.

Thanks everyone!
